What’s not in season?
I’m eating fresh corn, zucchini, sun ripened tomatoes, potatoes, onions, and the most delicious fresh garlic I’ve ever tasted, grown by my dad. There are potatoes, greens of all kinds, beans–oh! beans!–and summer squash. Okra, tomatillos, carrots. Blueberries, ever-bearing strawberries (fresh and local if you can find them and had some this week) and plums. Peaches are still in season–I think we might have a week or so left. And then the apples will begin. Oh, I love summer.
